Sex Education

Sex education is taught as part of the science curriculum and is covered by a policy which is available in the school office. Children’s questions are answered frankly and accurately according to the age of the child. There are more formal lessons in Y6 covering puberty and human reproduction as part of their topic on “our body”. Parents are given the opportunity to look at all materials used before the lessons take place. The school nurse may also be involved in delivering this topic.
