National Literacy Strategy

At Lostock Hall we have used the guidance in the National Literacy Stratergy in order to design our English curriculum.

This is a comprehensive scheme to improve reading and writing throughout the country. It sets out what children should learn each term. It begins in the foundation stage and continues into the first years of secondary school. Children will usually spend an hour a day on this subject.
